Who'll Stop the Rain?

When I was young, John Kennedy led the US into a police action in Viet Nam that lasted more than a decade. Many young men followed, while others questioned where it would end, and how could it be stopped. The war was like a force of nature, it was like the rain...

In these early days of Russia's police action in Georgia, many young men have followed their leader, swept like a leaf before the wind and the rain of war.

Credence Clearwater Revival  ( CCR ) captured the tone of sadness that was appropriate for it's time during America's long war of attrition.  There will come a time in Russia when sadness is appropriate, when young men in Russia notice that the rain isn't stopping, and begin to search for the sun.

Russia needs a Rock Revival!

ARTIST: Creedence Clearwater Revival
TITLE: Who'll Stop the Rain
Lyrics and Chords

Long as I remember the rain been comin' down
Clouds of myst'ry pourin' confusion on the ground
Good men through the ages tryin' to find the sun
And I wonder, still I wonder who'll stop the rain

I went down Virginia seekin' shelter from the storm Caught up in the fable I watched the tower grow
Five year plans and new deals wrapped in golden chains And I wonder, still I wonder who'll stop the rain

Heard the singers playin', how we cheered for more
The crowd had rushed together tryin' to keep warm
Still the rain kept pourin', fallin' on my ears
And I wonder, still I wonder who'll stop the rain
